Something Witty

Christmas is in the Air...

Last night since we were so few people home meeting was canceled. But a dear soul had the idea of getting the whole home together and putting up the Christmas decorations that had just been brought down from the attic instead. Of course drinks were offered as bribes.

So at 9:30, after prayer vigil, the living room erupted into a flurry of activity. A group of people setting up the Christmas tree in the corner, another small group, talking about making Christmas cards for our contacts, (which we will be doing tonight) another batch of people arguing about how many wreaths are needed inside the house, and of course I was running around the living room trying to look as busy as possible. (Kind of like how we used to do for JJTs in the old combos. Just grab a broom or dustpan and walk around with a real intent look on your face. Recipe for success)

But soon someone started putting on some old Christmas songs, (not that I was complaining; everyone else was) I mentioned that I had some new songs for people to listen to. OK fine! I told everyone that I had new songs for people to listen to. So after running around for a battery for someone else's MP3 player, and borrowing another's USB cable, I finally loaded up some songs, and took it to the living room.

So while the sub woofer pumped out Trans-Siberian Orchestra, I took it upon myself to decorate the Christmas tree with my new 7 year old roommate.
We did a good job by the way.

Started out with the lights, went to the balls, and got forced to add ribbons to it. I managed to stave off the ugly presents hanging, as well as all manner of old decorations finding their way on the tree. (My preciousss) Some people wanted the little kids to decorate it because it would look cute. Hmpf!!!

It always annoyed me, when all the decorations were on the front of the tree, and the back was bare, or the same with the lights, but even though the tree isn't 'loaded' with decorations, (yet) I still like it. It needs a few touch-ups, but overall I like what I see.

No photo's yet, sorry! I lent my camera to my dad who got invited last minute to be photographer for the BAM II, and his camera burnt out. I am hoping and praying that it won't get ruined with him. Since it took me 3 years to save up for it. I am missing it already. *sniff* My preciousss.

I am praying that it will come back without any scratches. :D

PS. Just so you can appreciate the amount of work put into the cover here is the modified version of the letter in the previous post. It is 50% of the original size since 100% is 3.5 megs.
