Someone just sent me an offline the other day, saying:
Well, just as a disclaimer, I would not classify myself as a photographer quite yet. An aspiring or an amateur photographer would be more accurate though.
Even though my photography skills might be above the average Joe with a camera, I still haven't attained that level that I would be comfortable calling myself a photographer.
Yes, I do have very high standards, and I loath my poor photography skills.
One of my main problems is that I can't accurately tell if the photo came out good or not until I have put it on the computer screen. Which of course limits coming up with a good photo.
Aside from that, another thing I have noticed lacking in my photography, is composition. When it comes down to it, I don't take the necessary time, or I don't have the time available to invest in the composition. Which automatically throws me in the category of "Amateur", or worse, a "Snap-shooter".
